    Browserlinks in lockdown EXTREMELY SLOW

    Since last agent update - Agent Version15.4.4.1063 - we have experienced problems with weblinks in the lockdown. I think the lockdown uses it's own browser supported by Chrome engine (Can be wrong here). When we run native Chrome out of lockdown it works perfect. Problem occured with this agent or the one before.

    Allow System Pop-ups Solved

    I am operating a Honeywell CT60XP running a lockdown configuration. There is an application that we need to be able to pair to a Bluetooth printer from within the lockdown mode. However, when the CT60XP attempts to pair with a Bluetooth printer, the Android system pop-up to verify and accept the Bluetooth pin does not appear while in lockdown mode. The pairing function has been tested and the pop-up does appear when in admin mode, but it appears as if the pop-up is not allowed to appear during lockdown. The audible chime is still happening to signify that the pairing process has started, and there is even a notification banner at the top of the screen signifying the process needs interaction, however, the Android dialog does not appear over the application like it would when not locked down. Are there any scripts or permissions that need to be granted to allow this feature to have appeared?

    Soti Mobi Control Geofencing not working for me

    Hi there, Hope you are doing well.  We are trying to set geofencing rules so that all the devices that leave a chosen area receive an alert. This is the process I follow: 1. Creating a geofence from the device location in the device details window 2. Creating an alert, and select the geofence created in 1.  After that, I tested the alert by leaving the geofence area, unfortunately, I didn't receive any alert. But I remark that MobiControl was able to track the device location.

    Android Enterprise Agent Update Solved

    Hi Everyone, I did an update of MobiControl OnPremise Server.From Version 14.4.9 to 15.6.4 Everything worked as expected and I had no issues. Now I have one question. MY devices Zebra MC3300 with Android 10 still have MobiControl Agent Version 14.5 installed. I can't upgrade the Agent to the latest. Under the global settings I can only manage the plugins and the agent is not shown to me.Can someone explain to me why? The server doesn't have managed google play so this isn't a option for me to update the MC agent. Whenever the support did an update for a cloud server I was able to update the agents afterwards.  Thanks for your help!

    Simulate a long press with injectKey function

    How can I simulate a long press on a device's key? Currently, I can only send short presses by mobicontrol.device.injectKey(XX). It seems that there is a way to do it by using ACTION_DOWN and _UP, as it says here: https://developer.android.com/reference/android/view/KeyEvent, but I couldn't figure out how to use it in the MobiControl WebConsole.

    Disable Location tracking on Smartphone Solved

    Hello, we manage all of our Smartphone android devices with MobiControl. This is our current setting "Allow User to Configure". The problem is we are technically able to track the exact location of the smartphone and we are not allowed to be able to track them... Can we turn the tracking off somehow that they can only use GPS for navigation like google maps? They also should still be able to turn off and on the location on smartphone and not completely block it through mobicontrol, because if I use "GPS only" they can not turn it off on the smartphone.

    Contacts removed after agent update?

    I have reports from some users, that the locally stored contacts have suddenly disappeared, and the only thing I can relate it to is the agent update to 15.4.4, which happened on August 2nd. Has anyone else experienced something similar? And is it possible, that the agent update could cause contacts to be deleted from a device?

    The user is not permitted in the shared device configuration

    Hello guys, I have an LDAP connection setup and working, can connect through it in the webconsole .. I can recover my LDAP groups in the Users/groups directories. If i had a group i'm belonging (or whoever) as adminstrators, then i had Shared Device Configuration to my devices with the group i'm belonging. (samsung S7 FE for example). My device now show the Shared Login screen, and on that screen if i input my username/pwd, it authenticate (success shows in logs). But return a message "Failed to authorize user 'username' because the user is not permitted in the shared device configuration" Agent V15.4.3 Build 1054 Server : 15.3 Any ideas on that ?  Thanks !

    Possible to program a "Reboot Phone" option in Android Work Enterprise Managed Lockscreen? Solved

    Hi All, We use Samsung Galaxy A21s that are in the Android Work Enterprise Managed profile with lockdown policy enabled. Many of our lesser technical users don't know how to reboot the phone. I was looking to add a "Reboot Phone" option to the lockscreen for these users. I've experimented with a few different approaches, but I still haven't found a good way to accomplish this: Using a third party app to reboot (requires accessibility permissions not available to users) Trying to invoke a reboot using action:// and intent:// options for lockscreens

    What is the deal with Search Sync?

    I'm fed up with how often Search Sync fails in a cloud environment and I have to open a case with SOTI to have them fix it on the back end. Why is this so consistently unreliable? There has to be some reporting in the SOTI Case Management system that shows this is a super common problem. I've seen this across multiple versions of MC. Am I alone in this or does the rest of the community run into similar issues?Even if a technical solution is not available, SOTI is providing a cloud hosted solution and I would expect better monitoring and proactive maintenance of our environments.

    Disable Drive in Windows

    Hi team, can we disable drive access in windows, I have tried sending a script like this (reg add HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer /t REG_DWORD /v "NoViewOnDrive" /d 4 /f) via mobicontrol but it doesn't Work.

    Windows Classic script

    Hi all Might be a silly question to ask but does anyone know what script command I can run to restart the agent running on a Windows Classic device? We have to use the legacy Remote Control plugin to control a set of these devices, but we notice that sometimes the agent possibly bugs out on the device, we can see it is online and we go to connect using the legacy plugin but for some reason their screen does not mirror and the connection is dropped. Nothing in the logs specifies why this is but when the user restarts their machine the issue is resolved until it occurs again. Due to how the machines are set up it is impossible for them to restart the agent themselves. We're hoping it is just the agent that has bugged out on the device, so therefore we would like to run a script using the dashboard (as the remote control doesn't last for us to try and run cmd line). Is there a script command that can do this? The machines are running Windows 7 Embedded. We can only run a Legacy script command, the devices are incompatible with the other script commands. Is there a legacy command available? Server is running MobiControl 15.5.1.1010 Thanks
