Hi Guys, we got Tab Active 3 with a PIN and a SIM card installed. Users report that the agent goes offline after a phone call. Is this a normal behaviour? The agent version is 15.3.3.1069.As I use a galaxy s21 as my privat smartphone I know that I don't have a connection while I am calling. Is there something I can configure on the devices? It doesn't matter if the Tab Active 3 has a PIN or not.
HI, how does the Data Collection App In Foreground data type work?Is it possible to have an error report of the app that I have in the foreground on the terminal? Thanks,
Good afternoon, as stated in the object, I have a PC with Windows 10 on which the remote desktop doesn't work most of the times. I always need to reboot it and only then the remote desktop works, but after a while (like the day after) it doesn't work anymore and needs another reboot. I have several PCs of the same model and same OS installed on that plant, but this one is the only one with this issue. What can I try to fix this? Below some information: MobiControl instance version: 15.6.1.1048 Agent version: 15.6.1.143 Find below the screenshots about the PCs OS version and software: The PC is enrolled with SOTI self-signed certificate: And we do not use te Windows Notification Services (WNS). I know this adds a slower application of configurations and applications, but this is not an issue. Plus, as I said above, this is the only PC with this issue (all the others, which work fine, are enrolled in the same way). The PC is connected to the network with a static IP configuration through Wi-Fi connection. It never disconnects from the console (the icon is always green and I don't see any disconnection from the logs), but the remote control is very problematic as stated above. Thank you, best regards.
Hello, One of our customers is looking for a way to schedule the use of a specific file per month. For example, they'd like to use this file on location A only in May and September but not in the other months. For location B, they'd like to use this file only in June and October. And so forth for five locations. With Profile Scheduled Actions, we're able to assign a profile (with the file in a package) on the 1st of May and have it disabled again at the 1st of June. Is there a way to make it recurring? We're using MobiControl version 15.4.1.4828. I suppose we can get this working with a setup like: Profile 01, assign date May 1st, install file on devices location A, disable date June 1stProfiel 02, assign date June 1st, remove file on devices location A, disable date September 1stProfile 03, assign date September 1st, install file on devices location A, disable October 1stProfile 04, assign date October 1st, remove file on devices location A, disable date May 1st And so on for the other locations. Which will result in 20 profiles which we'll have to renew every year? I'm hoping there's an easier way to do this. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.
Good afternoon everyone. Could someone help me or advise me on this issue: Is it possible to block websites by categories in advanced settings of Chrome? Or just apply Block access to a list of URLs and Allow access to a list of URLs If anyone has managed to apply these configurations I would appreciate the feedback. Greetings.
Hi guys we are having issues with galaxy tab active 3 where users are turning the screen off while the tablet is supposed to be in use. There are cases where it is getting turned off for nefarious reasons and I was wondering if there was a way to prevent this. The devices are running android 13 and we are using Mobicontrol Version: 15.1.1.1184
We have some Android 11 Zebra MC9300s that have old wldep files with the hardware rendering option disabled. I found the article below that shows you can run Velocity File Assistant with StartActivity Intent to delete the old files but I'm unsure of the syntax for the script. Anyone know what script I can send to start com.wavelink.velocityfileassistant with intent? https://help.ivanti.com/wl/help/en_US/Velocity/2.1/admin/file-assistant.htm#:~:text=When%20Velocity%20File%20Assistant%20is%20launched%20by%20the,before%20it%20begins%20to%20copy%20the%20new%20files. To use Velocity File Assistant to replace files: 1.Download the Velocity File Assistant app from the Wavelink downloads page and install it on a Android device that has Velocity 2.1.21 or newer installed. 2.Copy the configuration files to /sdcard/com.wavelink.velocity on the device. 3.Use an MDM client to send a startActivity intent to launch the Velocity File Assistant. Velocity File Assistant deletes the files from the /sdcard/Android/data/com.wavelink.velocity/files directory and then copies the files from /sdcard/com.wavelink.velocity . If you use startActivityForResult(), the activity returns RESULT_OK when no problems are encountered, and returns RESULT_CANCELED when problems are encountered. Velocity File Assistant closes when it is done.
Hello, Im currently looking into a way to execute script command that would be stored on a device to standardize execution script for our patching process. The current script contains name of the file as well as version so I have to change the script every time a change to package is done. Is there a way to have script stored in a file, for example *.cmd file, and execute the script inside this file either through legacy commands or Javascript?
In March we upgraded MobiControl Cloud to 15.6.1 Remote Control worked perfect before, but now we got the Error-message: An Error occurred while processing the request Sometimes, I send the Script: _adminmode off, then the device turns offline for roundabout 1 Minute and then it goes online and remote control ist running again. But we have devices, they don't react on scripts. They're shown online, but nothing happens. Here you can see a device I send 3 scripts, but there is no feedback. For the Samsung XCover Pro devices are no Plugins available and it's the actual Agent installed (15.3.3.1069) on Android 12. It's not possible to send new App-Profiles to this devices, because they stuck on pending installation. But when I can manually open the adminmode on the device, that I see the device-configuration and tap on connection status of agent, the device is "really" online and all script, App-Profiles, etc, got installed. The most of our devices don't have this issue, but if Remote Control does'nt work or I can't install new Apps, makes an MDM no sense.
Almost every time i have to remote control an Android device, i have to run the "activate remote icon" first.Isn't there some way to activate it once for all? :)
Hi We are using the zero touch configuration to enroll our TC21 devices. Unfortunately lately, this is causing problems. We have to manually un-enroll & enroll a device first before it will receice any profiles. OS Version: 11 Agent Version: 15.3.3 (doesn't change when enrolling again) Management Type: First enrollment -> "Unknown", second enrollment ->Work Managed device (as it should be) Whenever the Management Type is on Unknown, the device will not receive profiles as there is no communication. Another thing I notice when doing the enrollment the second time is that "Mobicontrol A+ Service" is immediately installed. (This doesn't happen on first enrollment) and then everything is working properly. The config that is used at the zero touch; (wasn't changed for the last years...) {"android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_LEAVE_ALL_SYSTEM_APPS_ENABLED":true,"android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_ADMIN_EXTRAS_BUNDLE":{ "enrollmentId": "" }}
Using a Samsung A7 lite (SM-T220) running Android 13(tiramisu).After installing mobi control client 15.3.3.1 with a basic lockdown Profile, the top status bar disappears, and the bottom navagation keys also disappear as soon as the lock downwhat we have found was if the "Lock screen type is set to anything other than "none" it causes the device to hide the status bar and navigation keys when the MC HTML page activates.Changing the Lock screen type seemed to have resolved the issue on the samsung device
Hello, is it possible to launch remote control of an android and automatically exit the lockscreen of the Smartphone, similar to the "unlock" command? Is it possible to run scripts automatically when starting a remote control? Best regards
Hi, we try to configure an Android price checker with the lockdown option but we can't hide the bar with the back button.
Good evening, I'm looking for a solution in order to transfer files through a File Sync rule into this folder: /sdcard/Android/data/it.dedagroup.stealth.movements/files/ Basically it is a configuration file that the app (it.dedagroup.stealth.movements) reads once it is launched. During my preliminaty tests with the remote control I found out that I don't have the privileges to write into the data folder, see screenshot below: I have the same result from both remote control options (plugin and web). Will this impair the file transfer even with the File Sync rule? Is there any way to grant the writing permission to this folder? Below some details: SOTI MobiControl instance version: 15.6.0.1018 Agent version: 15.3.2.1042 Plugin version: 1.19.2.118 Enrollment type: Work Managed Producer: Honeywell Model: EDA52 Android version: 11 Thank you, best regards.
