Hello, Our new private application has been accepted by Apple's App Review team. Initially, everything seemed fine through Soti's dashboard when we "purchased" the application and added it for mandatory installation on our company's iPads. However, the app is not installing automatically, and when we attempt to install it manually via the "App Catalog" app, we receive an error message in a pop-up. In French, the error message reads, "L'application n'a pas pu être installée. Contactez votre administrateur," which translates to "The application could not be installed. Please contact your administrator" in English. We have attempted to locate relevant logs for further investigation but have been unsuccessful thus far. Upon inspecting the App Catalog, we noticed that it appears to be a webpage, with the URL "soti.our-company.be." Could this be the place to search for additional details regarding the error and gain a better understanding of what is causing the issue?
We are looking for a way to set limits on data usage for users. We have mainly Apple IOS and Samsung Android devices. Furthermore, looking for a way to limit certain apps to only be accessible via Wifi.
we have ipad in different subnet. There are iPads with the correct iP address. However, there are also iPads for which the iP address is not correct or is not displayed, but the devices can be managed or communicate with MobiControl. The devices can be "checked in" and also receive a response. What do I have to do to update the IP address of the iPads on Soti?
I wanted to add a custom attribute to an app policy under "advanced configuration" - managed app config - application configuration. Unfortunately, this does not work. Does this work at all, if so, what am I doing wrong?
What do I have to do to ensure that the correct IP address is entered in MobiControl for IOS devices?
Hello, how to find the file path for sync picture from device to serveur ? Best regards
I have configured shared device for Android and iOS. On Android it works. On iOS I login and after MFA, this message appears on both the device screen and in the logs: Failed to authorize user because the user is not permitted in the Shared Device configuration. I'm using the exact same user on both Android and iOS. The configuration for shared device in Advanced configuration is exactly the same on both. Anyone got any ideas why it is working in Android, but not iOS?
I have enrolled an iOS device (iPhone 12, iOS 15.6) to MobiControl version 15.5.2.1003 but I have so far not managed to deploy a profile. The device has an enrollment type of "Device" ie is fully managed. I have attempted to deploy a profile to set global proxy settings, and another to block an app. In each case I get the error: Profile "profile name" version 1 failed to install, because all of its payloads cannot be installed. I cannot seem to retrieve more specific error details than this. It feels like something is fundamentally broken but I have no idea what, and no idea how to disagnose the problem!
Hello MobiControl: 15.5.1 iOS: 15.5 2. attempt at creating a post since it is not possible to edit after posting. iOS device has been enrolled as unsupervised, device enrolment with user authentication. App policy installs Outlook and other necessary apps, Conditional Access authorizes access. Customer has trouble synchronising contacts between Outlook on Windows, Outlook on their iPhone and their personal contacts in the Contacts-app. When they go to the Contacts-app on the phone, they only see contacts created on their phone, not contacts from Office 365 or contacts they have created in Outlook on their computer. They want everything to synchronise between each other, like it did before they enrolled their iPhone. I contacted SOTI Support, they had no idea how to fix this. Which is strange since it should be a pretty widespread problem. I have tried with Outlook Managed App Config. I manage to get everything working, except the keys in bold. I have tried different formats like true/ and true, but no success. Like always, little or no documentation is available from SOTI. I have also thought about Exchange Active Sync. Maybe this could synchronise contacts only, while Outlook takes care of emails and calendars. <dict><key>com.microsoft.outlook.EmailProfile.EmailAccountName</key><string>Office 365</string><key>com.microsoft.outlook.EmailProfile.EmailAddress</key><string>%ENROLLEDUSER_EMAIL%</string><key>com.microsoft.outlook.EmailProfile.EmailUPN</key><string>%ENROLLEDUSER_USERNAME%</string><key>com.microsoft.outlook.EmailProfile.ServerAuthentication</key><string>Username and Password</string><key>com.microsoft.outlook.EmailProfile.AccountDomain</key><string>%DOMAIN%</string><key>com.microsoft.outlook.EmailProfile.ServerHostName</key><string>outlook.office365.com</string><key>com.microsoft.outlook.EmailProfile.AccountType</key><string>ModernAuth</string><key>IntuneMAMAllowedAccountsOnly</key><string>Disabled</string><key>IntuneMAMUPN</key><string>%ENROLLEDUSER_USERNAME%</string><key>com.microsoft.outlook.Contacts.LocalSyncEnabled</key><true/><key>com.microsoft.outlook.Contacts.LocalSyncEnabled.UserChangeAllowed</key><true/></dict>
We have some iPads using Mobicontrol. The profile in use restricts some features and browsing to certain sites, but the users will need to be able to upload data to iCloud from an app. This is not currently working - the data appears in the iCloud settings but does not make it to the cloud storage. Are there any settings I need to look out for? I am using a web content filter, could this be breaking the upload?
Hello, is iOS 15 supported with Mobicontrol? Does anyone know which version of Mobicontrol must be installed to support this? We have some new iPads that we need to deploy but they have come with iOS 15 and our profiles are failing to install with the message: Profile version 2 failed to install, because all of its payloads cannot be installed.
Hello, in our system some IOS devices (10 to 15) lost the connection to Soti Mobicontrol. All Profiles, Apps, Rules and Configurations are deleted from the device. The devices also lost the wifi connection. Just the backgroud isn't changed. Mobicontrol Version: 15.4.1.4828 IOS Versions: 14.4.1 - 15.1.1 I have opened a ticket, but maybe someone here has an idea.
Hi All, We are currently setting up 90 ipads and joining them through MDM. We have setup around 4x and then suddenly one of the ipads give the following error: "Profile installation Failed The SCEP server returned an invalid response." We cannot solve this by restarting the ipad, not many actions to perform really. Meanwhile, other ipads configured before and after this problematic ipad have no such problem... Can anyone suggest a solution on how to resolve this? Thank you.
Hi, I would like to know more about using SOTI to deploy mass iPadOS... The iPadOS size is around 5.5GB, it brings concern as we have to update 90 units of iPad in one go... If we are to issue "Update OS" command via SOTI, the following questions come to mind (sorry I cannot test now as I cannot afford to update any of my iPad's OS now): 1) Will SOTI spread the update across a specific time frame to avoid congesting the whole bandwidth? 2) When issuing the command, will it force the iPad to update? Or will it prompt a box and ask for user's consent first? 3) We have set to defer OS update for 90 days, after that period, will iPad be forced to update regardless of its current status? 4) Is there a difference between "scan for OS update" and "update OS"? Thank you for your time.
We need to be able to add a user guide to our iPads. It is not a document that can be publicly available online so a webclip to it online isn't possible. Is there a way for us to access a password protected online file storage? Or is there a way to upload a file to the device using Mobicontrol and make it easy for the users to find? (e.g. button on home screen) We may be required to update the document from time to time.
