Hello, we are looking to roll out eSims to our IOS devices. Does anyone know what the conditions are for the remote command to work? We've tested on a few devices and if the iPhone is on and connected to internet the eSim installs instantly. However I tested with a device that was off for a few days and when it turned on and checked in it did not apply the eSim settings. The logs show that 'eSIM Cellular Plan Update requested' but no further logs. Do the devices have to be turned on and connected to the internet when the command is sent for the changes to apply? We're dealing with large numbers of devices and some are already out in the field so this may be an issue.
We have an issue with lots of our iphones using excessive data. We've looked in settings on the handsets and can see it is used by System Services -> General. Is there any way to restrict the amount of data that the system services could use? Are there any other settings to help us control/reduce usage of data? The phones have an application run control setting so that only one app and the settings can be used on the device.
Hi everyone, After upgrading the OS from iOS 16 to iOS 18, many of our iPhone users have reported that the "Forget This Network" option has disappeared (see the below screenshots), making it impossible to remove unwanted Wi-Fi networks from their devices. Our devices are managed through MobiControl version 2025.1.0, and agent version is 2025.0.0. We have a Profile assigned to those devices where it automatically join connect them to our WiFi (see below). Is this a bug introduced by iOS or something related to MobiControl? Please help as I have tried finding the articles outside SOTI and couldn't find any solution.
Hi - Am I misunderstanding the location tab for iOS devices? I've set the settings on the device for Location services always on, Permissions for Mobi Control app Location to always but the locate options are still greyed out unless the app is in the forefront on the device. Does this not make the function useless? If I've lost the device and need to locate it I can't bring the app to the forefront. Thanks Sue
Hi All I have been using lockdown screens for our Android scanners for a while and have now been tasked with doing the same for some iPads, but i dont seem to be able to find the option. I can not use single app mode for the iPads as there is going to be 4 apps they can use. All I want the users to see is a screen with 4 options one for each app and would have liked at the bottom a name and serial footer as I have for the Android devices so they can easily identify the device for any trouble shooting. Is this even possible?
Hello everyone, I have a problem with the automatic enrollment via the Apple Business Mangaer. We are currently running on Soti 2024.01. We have bought an iPad which is provided via the ABM and the correct server for Mobicontrol is also stored there. But now the device is not displayed. I have already tested the sync function and checked everything again to see if one of the connections is not configured correctly. Does anyone have any idea why I can't see the iPad in Mobicontrol? If you need more information, I will of course send it to you. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
Hi all, We are trying to enroll a new device in Soti. However, we get the following error when trying to download the iOS Enrollment Profile (at the last step, during the download). Could you please help us resolve this issue? Note: This device may have been enrolled before. However, when I check VPN & Device Management, there is no profile installed. We do not get this error when enrolling other iOS devices.
Hello, is there a way to ensure devices stay on a supported iOS version? We currently have a 90 day delay, however we find devices stay on very old iOS versions unless we push an update manually.
I recently tried experimenting with a BYOD iPhone. The first trick I learned was that you have to use Safari to install the certificate. Chrome and Edge will fail. However, once I got it installed and I moved on to the enrollment I got this error from iOS 18: "Profile Driven User Enrollment is not supported" So, how else is there to enroll BOYD for iOS in SOTI?
Some iPhones have been wiped and deleted from Mobicontrol and then from Apple Business, however we have found that some have not had their profiles removed. I have connected to Wi-Fi but the device is not reappearing in the Mobicontrol console. Is it possible to remove the profile now? Factory reset and unenrol is disabled on the devices.
Dear Team, how to realsed ipad re - Enroll for ABM server.
I have mobile devices already having MobiControl installed and working just fine. We want to install a new app to our company devices. We have added this new app into our Policies / Apps. This is a mandatory app, App Store License, Accounts Is set to our applevl account and Device Based. Automatic updates is selected. I have added this new app to my Profile / Configurations / Application Run Control / Whitelist. Save and Assign. When I look at a device name, Configurations the status shows Installed partially. I guess this shows this way pending the new app install? The app does not install automatically. I do give this time to see if will auto install. If I revoke profile and then install profile, the new app will then download and install. I do not want to have to revoke / install on all my devices. Why does the app not download and install automatically? What would be a fix for this.
i need to be able to track my devices! find my iphone feature would allow me to find my device! why cant mobicontrol turn back on after a reboot or the app is closed? i have the location services set to always. the only way to really find the location is turn on lost mode but i dont want to be doing that
We use SOTI to deploy iOS devices and are interested in the version of one app that is installed. Is there any way to pull this onto the device list for easy viewing? Currently I have to run the app version report but this does not include the time when the device last connected so is not overly helpful for identifying app version issues. It's a lot of effort to pull 2 different reports and then join them (especially as the dates export as text and are not easily converted)
